Straight from ShoWest, we have our first glimpse at the Scott Pilgrim teaser poster. One of the first things I wondered when hearing of this film was, “Are they gonna incorporate Bryan Lee O’Malley’s awesomely dreamy art style to this live action world?” And although we don’t get that answer as it pertains to the film, per se, I think it’s a good sign that the first “official” image we get, and the first real piece of marketing for the film has the nicely hand-drawn letters escaping from the Rickenbacker’s pick-ups. Hopefully this means we’re “that much” closer to a trailer.
If this years comic films have taught me anything, it’s that an “erotic strip tease” (Wright and Universal’s handling of Pilgrim “peeks”) is better at raising excitement for a film than a constant “barrage of boners” (The Kick Ass marketing saturation). Although I am extremely excited for both films, the anticipation for official Pilgrim goods is driving me CRAZY!
