Seriously, inFAMOUS 2 is the reason you’ve been saving your money for the last few weeks. Between this and Uncharted 3 coming in fall, you have two good reasons to buy a PS3 if you haven’t already. Despite the problems Sony’s had recently, the first inFamous was one of my favorite games this console generation and I can’t be more excited for this sequel. And if you haven’t played the first game but already had a PSN account prior to April 20, 2011 you can download it free until July 3rd as part of the Welcome Back program.

There are two other games worth a look this week: Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters and Red Faction Armageddon. The first is probably just a crappy licensed title like games based on comic movies always are, but this is Big Shiny Robot! and all of us fangeeks (which is the non-gender-specific term for “fanboy”) want to play it anyway. The second looks like an interesting update for the franchise. It’s still open world, but it seems much more claustrophobic, with much of the action taking place in underground caves and chambers, as opposed to the vast, open areas of Mars in Guerrilla.

Considering those three games, this is a pretty big week. Makes me wonder why those other two games are even going to bother. But I guess somebody somewhere can’t actually get to a lake so this is the best fishing experience they’re going to get.
