STAR WARS: The Power of the Force Girls

Back in August I told you about this Star Wars and Powerpuff Girls mashup that would be coming to the Internet and I’m happy to let you know that the first episode is completed. The show is smart, funny, and adorable and combines two of my favorite things: Star Wars and The Powerpuff Girls. It seems to have the same sense of humour as the original show.

It’s incredibly well played.

I do have a couple of complaints about it, though. For one: it’s reliance on stock backgrounds that don’t fit the style of the show. It takes me out of things. And this should be a no-brainer since the backgrounds on the original show are minimalist and simplistic. The second is that the story telling isn’t as fast or well constructed as the actual Powerpuff Girls show. But that could be because this is just the first episode and they’re getting up to speed, both as filmmakers and in the story.

Other than those complaints, I think it’s worth your time for Mojo Jojo-style General Grievous alone.

You can get more information on the filmmakers at their website.
