“Last of Us” DLC announced

The much anticipated Season Pass DLC for The Last of Us has received a release date of Oct 15th, but some are likely to be disappointed as it’s only the first piece of DLC coming from Naughtydog. The first piece being released is a map pack called Abandoned Territories featuring the following locations: ‘Suburbs’ will have random dust storms, ‘Bus Depot’ will feature everyone’s favorite giraffes, ‘Bookstore’ which is geared toward vertical gameplay, and ‘Hometown’ which is a stealth map (the best in my opinion).

Eric Monacelli from Naughtydog wrote on the Playstation blog that “The single-player DLC is currently planned for release around the December-January timeframe.” The last piece of DLC will be a multiplayer themed but won’t be released until the first half of the year, until then 60 bonus character customization have been added to the multiplayer mode for those who have a season pass.
Playstation also says “You’ll be saving over 75% by purchasing a Season Pass instead of buying all the DLC individually.” Plus you get all 60 head items for your multiplayer experience. The Playstation Season Pass is $19.99 from the Playstation store or your local Gamestop.last of us content

Hopefully the single player DLC will be worth the wait and with Naughtydog taking its time to release it I would expect nothing less.
