The joint venture by Brian K Vaughn and Marcos Martin called Panel Syndicate, has announced their 5th book is available for purchase and download. Private Eye issue 4 joins the 3 previous issues of Private Eye and a “making of” issue that was released in early August of this year. It’s been a bit of a wait since the last issue but, as the two are using a “pay what you like” method of payment, the timing on the individual issues release hasn’t been as consistent as a book available through a publisher.

The independent online publishing method isn’t new, but BKV and Marcos Martin have quickly risen to the top as one of the best. They join other great online comic publishing like Mark Waid’s Thrillbent. Waid’s Thrillbent has many different forms of payment, including pay what you want. At this point though, BKV and Martin have yet to also publish through Comixology or Graphicly like Thrillbent has.

If you’re interested, name your price and pick up all 4 issues of Private Eye today. Be warned, even though the quality is worth it, there may be a bit of a wait for issue 5. Do you love Private Eye as much as I do? Tweet me @MarkAvo to talk about this spectacular “digital only” comic.
