While the main focus at Spiel is table-top gaming, the convention also is starting to grow their comic book presence with the addition of Comic Action. There is an artist’s alley, and this year, Panini Comics Germany brought a series of foreign comic book artists and writers with them to tour Germany, and among them were the Eisner Award winning team of Fábio Moon & Gabriel Bá. These twins from Brazil were on hand to sign the German language version of their trade paperback, Daytripper, as well as do sketches and more.
Daytripper was originally published in the US from DC’s Vertigo imprint in issue form in 2010, and went on to win the Eisner Award in 2011 for Best Limited Series/Story Arc. Ba and Moon have also done work for Dark Horse on B.P.R.D., and each has done work on Casanova.
