Wonder Woman Cast for Zack Snyder’s ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ Film

After it was announced that the follow up film to Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” would be a Batman Vs. Superman movie, speculation immediately began on what other DC characters may pop up in the sequel – most notably, Wonder Woman.

Well, as of today, and according to several outlets, it has been confirmed by Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder himself that Wonder Woman will, in fact, be appearing in the yet-to-be-officially-named sequel, and that Gal Gadot from the “Fast and the Furious” franchise will fill the role.

“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.” – Zack Snyder

For me, the casting of Gal Gadot doesn’t stir up much feeling one way or the other. My only exposure to her is from the “Fast and the Furious” franchise, and she wasn’t horrible in those. Perhaps my indifference comes from my cautious optimism of this whole Batman Vs. Superman film overall. “Man of Steel” disappointed me in a lot of ways, and while I like the idea of Ben Affleck as Batman, I still have a lot of concerns for this franchise.
