TV: ‘Gotham’ Adds Bruce and Selina

Warner Bros. Worldwide has announced the addition of two more cast members to the FOX/WBTV DC Comics project “Gotham”. The fledgling series has been adding cast members nearly weekly and with each announcement the fervor to see this show grows greater and greater amongst the comic book fan community. It has been previously reported that “Gotham” is a series about James Gordon and how he came to be the Commissioner of the GCPD Gotham Central Police Department.

With that idea in mind it is no surprise that the casting choices for Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are a couple of youngsters. David Mazouz of “Touch” fame will grace TV screens as a pre-teen Bruce Wayne. Batman isn’t even a twinkle in the young Gothomite’s eye. Will we be seeing the infamous scene where the Wayne family is tragically murdered in front of young Bruce’s eyes?

Another question comes up as the casting announcement of a newcomer Camren Bicondova as young Selina Kyle. What will the future Catwoman’s relationship be to the young Bruce Wayne if anything at all? Warner Bros. is reporting that the Selina Kyle character will be a teenage orphan with proclivities for theft and pickpocketing. The anticipation for the series only builds more “what if” scenarios in the minds of fans. The dots continue to be connected as the list of cast members grows.
