July 23rd Declared Batman Day by DC Entertainment

Who doesn’t like the idea of putting on a mask and bounding around the city to fight crime, protect the innocent, and work for justice? Well, if you’ve wanted to do that, even if it’s just for kick, DC’s made your dream come true by releasing 4 cut out masks for fans. Along with the masks they’ve also declared this July 23rd to be Batman Day. Each of the masks comes from a different era of Batman: The Original era by Bob Kane, The 66 era based on Adam West’s time under the cowl, The hardened Batman of “The Dark Knight Returns” from Frank Miller, and the modern era by Greg Capullo.

Batman day will also be celebrated in thousands of libraries across the US on Saturday July 26th because of a partnership with DC Entertainment and Random House. This year is the 75th anniversary of Batman and it appears that DC Comics isn’t taking their foot off of the celebration peddle. There are all kinds of crazy happenings in the world of Batman with Dick Grayson becoming a super-spy and Batman possibly picking a successor to his recently killed Robin, Damian Wayne. It’ll be hard for Batman to replace his son Damian, but with the number of fan favorite characters in the Batman family, Bruce isn’t hurting for options.
