The Trailer for “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” Has Arrived

The CW seems to have struck it gold with bringing some of DC’s heroes to life on television. “Arrow” just wrapped up its third season, and “The Flash” is set to wrap up its first on May 19. Both shows are set to return for another season in the Fall, and at the mid point of their new seasons, they will be joined by another spin-off series: “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”!

As part of their Upfront, the CW has unveiled the trailer for the new series, which will include some familiar faces from “The Flash” and “Arrow”, along with some fresh faces to be introduced on the show. After watching the trailer for the third time, I couldn’t be more excited. The showrunners for both existing shows on the CW have done an amazing job (even if this last season of “Arrow” had some issues), so I have exactly zero gripes about them continuing to expand; in fact, I prefer it as opposed to using a single show to try to shoehorn in a massive roster of villains/heroes that are constantly coming and going (I’m looking at you, “Smallville”).

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” will premier in the Spring of 2016 after mid-season breaks. In the meantime, check out the trailer below!

Official Synopsis:

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends.  Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself.  Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known? DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW stars Victor Garber (“The Flash,” “Alias”); Brandon Routh (“Arrow,” “Superman Returns”); Arthur Darvill (“Doctor Who”); Caity Lotz (“Arrow”); Ciarra Renee (“Pippin”); Franz Drameh (“Edge of Tomorrow”); with Dominic Purcell (“The Flash,” “Prison Break”); and Wentworth Miller (“The Flash,” “Prison Break”). Based on the characters from DC Comics, DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” upcoming “Pan”), Marc Guggenheim (“Arrow,” “Eli Stone,” “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters”), Andrew Kreisberg (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Eli Stone,” “Warehouse 13”) and Sarah Schechter (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” upcoming “Pan”).
