REVIEW: Dark Entries

Author: Ian Rankin
Illustrator: Werther Dell’edera

For those not familiar with John Constantine, shame on you. Constantine is a Vertigo title starring none other than John Constantine, an occult detective. Some of you might remember the movie starring Keanu Reeves. This self-contained graphic novel would be great for anyone interested in jumping into Constantine, or for long time fans of the series.

John Constantine has faced a lot of strange things in his career, shit that would turn you white (sorry). But this is by far the creepiest case he’s been involved with, Reality TV. John is approached by Matthew Keene to be a consultant for his new show.

The premise of the show is as follows: get a group of 20-somethings together in a mansion and scare the hell out of them. As it turns out, the mansion has a mind of its own. This is why John is asked (read: bribed) to watch over the contestants.

I highly recommend this book.
