We’ll start out with some screen shots of Monster Hunter 3 that Capcom just put on their press site today.
Monster Hunter 3 Tri is being released March 31st of this year exclusively for the Wii. I don’t think these screen shots look amazing, but I’ve heard good things about this series, and so I still want to give it a try. I’ve been left out of the loop from the other games in the series because I seldom buy games for the PSP. But the whole gimmick of this Wii release is to spread this series to a larger audience, so I’m sure they’ll do a good job.

Next on the list is a new video Capcom released of Super Street Fighter 4
I thought Street Fighter 4 was great, and this doesn’t seem to be much different. The best part about it is that it isn’t going to be $60 dollars. They are treating it more like an upgrade and selling it from Amazon for the PS3 at, $36.99
And on the Xbox 360 at $39.82
Next up is some Art from Final Fight: Double Impact, being released in April on the Playstation Network, and Xbox live arcade.
The relevance of this release is Guy and Cody are announced as Playable characters in Super Street Fighter 4!
And the last thing I want to mention is the upcoming releases of Dark Void and Capcom Vs. Tatsunoko: Ultimate All-stars.
They are both being released later this month.
Dark Void is a Sci-Fi adventure game, that I am excited to try. (Which is now possible because they just put the Demo on Playstation Network, and Xbox live arcade today!)

I have been keeping my eye on Darkvoid, it looks like it could be pretty good.
Do people really still get excited for Street Fighter games though?

Street Fighter is the one of the few games that has bridged into the 3D world that still retains what made the game unique and 2D and consistently improve controls, looks and combos over the years.

The point is, Super Street Fighter 4 looks good. It’s a game you can play while maintaining a conversation. Provided you don’t have too big an ego. It’s just a fun game that’s nice to have in your collection. I’m excited for it.

I actually loved Street Fighter growing up. I don’t think there is anything wrong with it now, in fact, like Swank said, it’s a solid formula and it works, so no need to mess with it.
I think the new games aren’t appealing to me because I am bored with that formula. Does it mean it’s a bad formula? Absolutely not, just doesn’t “tickle my fancy” anymore.
My adult gaming life has been more about “what’s the next new thing?” or “what’s the next game-changing game coming out?”
Also, I am that asshole that is too competitive when it comes to these games. Street Fighter quickly turns into the game “How Long Until Tyson Turns Into A Giant Over-Competitive Dick?”

That’s the best part about playing with Swank-mo-tron. There has never been a reason to give up my ego. He knows he can’t win, and I know I can’t lose. It works well for both of us.
