A video about the actual science behind regrowing body parts! It’s actually quite interesting.

For anyone interested, the April 2008 issue of Scientific American has a great article describing the body’s act of healing wounds in both humans and salamanders. It explains why they regenerate but we do not and offers theories on how to adapt their unique physiology into humans using features our body naturally has. It has exciting potential beyond new wounds healing in a better way. If the theories can be exercised to their full extent it might mean very old amputations could be reversed by reopening the wound and applying the theoretical techniques.
