Star Trek 2 casting…?

Monday, December 20th, 2010 at 5:44 pm Category: Movies, Rumors, sci-fi, Star Trek

One of our robot spies turned in this report from a Craigslist listing…

It seems as though the Star Trek sequel could very well be casting?

Here’s the exact contents of the ad (and a link to the original posting):

Release Date: June 29, 2012
Studio: Paramount Pictures
Director: J.J. Abrams
Screenwriter: Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman
Starring: John Cho, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin
Genre: Sci-Fi
MPAA Rating: Not Available
Official Website: StarTrekmovie.com | NCC-1701.com | MySpace.com/StarTrek

Plot Summary: No plot details as this time!

Contact Casting at 714-869-0063 (no emails please)

Calling the number yields a message that “The Call Could Not Be Completed At This Time”… Looking the number up in Google brings us a variety of things. Firstly, a similar ad for a casting call of the new Ghost Rider film in Colorado. Then we see plenty of the Star Trek ad repeated in Creative and Media categories all over the Salt Lake City and New England areas.

Consulting a reverse phone directory, the number originates from Fullerton, California (a suburb of Anaheim, itself a suburb of Los Angeles.)

Hoax? Misinformation? Are they getting thinking about shooting in Salt Lake or New England?

This doesn’t make any sense to me. Help me, fellow robots. Help me.
