Spider-Man 4 & 5 to be filmed together?

Cinematical received some news that screenwriter James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) submitted a working draft for Spider-Man 4 to Sony Pictures.
It sounds like the story will take two films, hinting at the fact they will be filmed together. No word yet on who’s returning for sure. My money is on Raimi as a producer, and Maguire as Spider-Man. I don’t think (care) that Dunst will be returning.

I somehow felt that they were done with 3. You know because it sucked.
Sony has previously announced they want to do 7. They are going to treat it like James Bond:
No matter who returns or doesn’t, there are a lot of stories to tell. And a lot of nerd money to take.
In all fairness, 3 sucked because Raimi’s hand was forced into putting Venom into it… I think it would have been fine with it ending with introducing Venom, but it’s a little unfair to say it SUCKED, weakest of the 3? Definately. Horrible movie? Certainly not.
Originally Spider-Man 3 was supposed to be 2 movies. They were going to film 3 and 4 together but decided not to.
Horrible compared to Fantastic Four? No.
Horrible compared to Spider-man 2? Indeed.
In all fairness, it sucked. I don’t give a shit about them forcing Raimi’s hand, Venom was in it. And it sucked.
Replace maguire with someone who can act and punch dunst in the face and replace her with someone attractive that can act and its already gonna be way better.
I thought Bryce Dallas Howard was adorable.
And I liked Maguire.
Kirsten Dunst didn’t offend me one way or the other.
