So, I haven’t actually read this comic, but I read a review of it here and I asked my self, “What the Fuck?”
Here’s a choice excerpt:
Then the story takes a twist that makes you wonder who this really is. Peter Parker accepts an assignment as a paparazzi?!? His fabled Spidey-sense does not help him avoid pointy elbows from his competitors. Then, throwing everything his Uncle Ben ever tried to teach him out the window, he uses his powers to catch a celebrity pictures, for a two million dollar payday. He promptly has trouble running away, displaying his abilities in public as Parker, and then stopping short just because a woman he knows is in a hot dress.
Presto, Pete’s a millionaire. He can to just afford to move out, he can move into a plush place, buy all the web fluid he wants, and pretty much anything else he feels like now.
What?!
Can someone who’s reading Spider-Man tell me that this is all just some type of horrible dream? If someone can assure me that this isn’t happening to my friendly, neighborhood wall-crawler, I’ll add it to my hold right this minute.

That’s a very biased, and at times faulty, review.
It goes back and forth from either adding the reviewer’s skewed bias, or just getting things wrong.
1) As a paparazzi-style photographer, Pete has yet to do anything worse than take pictures of a star acting like a jerk in a nightclub.
2) Pete was in a crowd of paparazzi while he was taking pictures and he was being jostled in the crowd. It’s nitpicking to say that he should have avoided that jostling with his spider-sense. What, was his life in danger?
3) He didn’t make 2 million dollars. He mad “five figures.”
4) He covers using his powers in public by saying that he’s using parkour.
The reviewer should probably read the book again.

The fact that you’re disputing the review is music to my ears, greg. I didn’t want to believe what this guy had to say…

No. I’m afraid its true. After reading the issue I immediately erased the cache from my memory. Parker sold out and took photos of a celebrity for the DB (just like he sold out to keep Aunt May alive).
He also chases down a YouTube thief who has a camera crew record her break the law (girl on the cover). She schools Spider-Man in acrobatics (wtf?) while he trips over his own feet. And yes, Pete got a check from the DB for a ludicrious amount of money. But I’m sure he’ll either:
A- Lose the check.
B- Decide its against his moral compass and destroy it.
C- Start doing paparazzi photography full time.
So there you have it.
