Both the Hollywood Reporter and Brian Michael Bendis (via Twitter) have announced that Terrance Howard, who played the James Rhodes in last May’s Iron Man is being replaced by Don Cheadle due to “financial considerations and other differences” for the sequel.
I honestly can’t stand when characters are recast for sequels. And you know what Terrance Howard was a fucking awesome James Rhodes.
Iron Man 2 is currently in development and is slated to hit theaters May 7, 2010.

Fuck not paying Terence Howard what he wants. And fuck Terence Howard for allowing money to determine his involvement in a film franchise he claims to have had so much fun making (one where he gets to be fucking WAR MACHINE).

This is bullshit! Terrence Howard is an amazing actor and was great as Rhodes! And while I think Don Cheadle is equally amazing, I don’t think he will make a good Rhodes. Strike 1 Iron Man 2… Strike. One.
