Your First Look at Amy Adams as Lois Lane
Tuesday, August 16th, 2011 at 9:39 am Category: Movies, News, Set Photos, Superman, TopHere is your first look at Amy Adams as Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s Superman film, Man of Steel.

As you can see it looks like they have decided to not give Lois her typical dark locks and have instead decided to stick with what appears to be something close to Adams’ natural hair color.
For me, this change doesn’t really bother me. It’s quite clear at this point Snyder is looking to separate himself from the previous Superman films and completely do his own thing and a change of hair color won’t bother me so long as the spirit of the character is still the same. That being said, I can already hear the outrage ringing across the internet, “OMG! LOIS LANE HAS DARK HAIR!!!1!!1!1!! THIS MOVIE IZ GOING TO SUK SO HARD!! I H8 ZAK SNIDER!!!!11!!!ONE!!!ELEVENTEEN!!!!” Seriously. Search the internet and I bet you can find that exact comment somewhere on a message board because I left it.
I personally can’t wait to see what Snyder has up his sleeve for Superman. I’ve seen and very much appreciated the Christopher Reeves-style Supes multiple times over, now I want to see something different and a little more action-oriented. For all I know this film may end up being the worst Superman film ever made, but at least WB and DC have finally grown the stones to try to take him in a new direction.
Man of Steel is aiming to hit theaters on June 14, 2013.

I saw that coming. However, I did NOT see that coming from you! Haa haa haa! Nicely played sir.
Snyder is still a hack who wouldn’t know character development if it had an epiphany on his face.
Speaking from a die-hard Superman fan’s point of view, I think she looks like a down to earth American girl, exactly what a farmboy would fall for. I do hope though that they keep her the strong female character she’s been for the last 30 some odd years and don’t push her back to the marriage crazy loser she was in the 50′s.
The only thing we can conclude from blonde Lois is that Zack really really loves Smallville. But I knew that from February, in that interview where he loved up on Smallville and slapped around Singer.
FUUUUUKKKKS!!!!!!111!!!!
LOL A GINGER LOIS? A BLACK PERRY WHITE? A CHILD PLAYING SUPERMAN? ROBIN HOOD AS JONATHAN KENT? ONE EPIC FAIL AFTER ANOTHER LMAO ZACK THE HACK STRIKES AGAIN!
Zack Snyder has yet to make a solid movie. That being said, I don’t think this movie is gonna suck. I don’t know why I feel that way. Thought I’d share
YOU FORGETZ ROBIN HOOD PLAYING JOR ELS, TOOOOOO!!!! FUKKKS!1112!
I took those pics
Seriously, Lois’ hair color or Perry’s skin should be the last of our worries right now. Zack Snyder is what scares me.
WTB new director
I think it could be good. We will see.
I’d like to just remind everyone that Zack Snyder isn’t writing the film, only directing.
Although the concept had potential, Sucker Punch (which he wrote and directed) had a weak storyline/script, but visually, it was amazing. That is the only film he has wrote from scratch.
As a director, he is one of the best. Just watch 300 & Watchmen. Both visually stunning.
I’m looking forward to seeing a Snyder style Superman film and the fact it’s being written by David Goyer (who has written all of the new Batman films), you know the script is going to be amazing! Goyer + Snyder = Best Superman film in years! =)
I hate that she’s a ginger for this movie. Not that I’ve got anything against gingers it’s just no Lois Lane I’ve known as been ginger.
She’s always had dark brown hair.
The original Lois Lane, who was based on the eventual Mrs. Jerry Siegel, was a redhead in the comics.
Acting skills matter, not hair color.
How does being 28 make Cavill a child? Maybe they should have used an actor who was 29 instead?
Zack Snyder rules. 300 was amazing. Watchmen was amazing. You guys are dilusional.
cant judge until i see the movie however as long as they keep the character of lois true i wouldnt care if h berry played her
Funny thing about the question of Amy’s hair color as Lois is that red is not her natural hair color. She’s really a blonde who went ginger to make her stand out in the crowd, same successful career move that Deborah Ann Woll of True Blood (babyvamp Jessica Hamby) has copied. Amy appeared with her real hair color in early films like Psycho Beach Party, where her swimsuit bottom got ripped off.
Anyway, I digress – thought for sure she’d just dye her hair a different color than the one she dyes it all the time, but guess she’d like for us to think of her only as a ginger now? As long as there isn’t a brunette Lana Lang in Man of Steel, OK with me. Amy’s acting will make us forget such issues in about 3 seconds when we see her on the screen – the most talented actress working in films today, bar none, and best of an excellent MOS cast. If the script’s OK, this will all work great.
I’m glad Amy Adams was cast as Lois Lane. Not only is she talented, but she also has similarities to the way the character was portrayed in the comics, as opposed to Kate Bosworth in Superman Returns, who had neither.
I feel Amy will do justice for the role of Lois Lane and not let any of us fans down. I am curious to see what Zack Snyder has in mind. I was thoroughly dissapointed with Sucker punch as that film was extremely ambitious and fell apart right away. If the film is anything like that, then there is a problem. Otherwise, there is nothing to worry about.
