Logan #1 is shaping up to be another great (but short) story about the man. Most of this issue is a flashback to sometime during World War 2. And for God’s sake, it’s Eduardo Risso doing the art. I think just about anyone could be writing this book and I’d still pick it up. And MARVEL knows that, hence the higher price tag.
If you are interested in either a great story about Logan, or Risso’s art, I’d highly recommend picking this up. And if you make it to the Comic Shop soon enough, you might be able to get your hands on the black and white varient. Not just the cover is black and white, but the whole issue. They cut out all the ads too (something I think MARVEL should do to all their books).

I think Marvel should offer a slightly more expensive ($.50 to $.99) extra special variant edition of their books without ads.
I mean, really, I looked at the variant and the normal version of Logan at the comic book store and the back cover on the variant is just a really cool white space. It fits the book.
The back cover of the regular edition has some doofus-looking, buck-toothed, asshole football player grinning stupidly with a milk mustache that may or may not actually be human ejaculate.
My point is this, ads suck in books and I’m willing to pay more for comics without them.
