Cartoon Network announced their yet-to-be-named Friday Lineup starting this fall (presumably sometime after the theatrical release of Clone Wars).
According to Newsarama, a couple of cartoons I don’t care about will be bookending what will certainly become the only TV I watch (minus Lost, of course) during the course of the normal week.
It seems as though Batman: Brave and the Bold (we wrote about that here) and the ongoing Clone Wars cartoon will be back-to-back in a primetime slot. I haven’t watched a show regularly, episode-after-episode, since Futurama got canceled. It’ll be weird being chained to the TV for something again, what with these two shows and Lost. To be honest though, Brave and the Bold is something I wouldn’t go out of my way to watch on TV, I’d catch it on DVD, but running it right before Clone Wars quadruples my chances of watching it. Now if they could just make Adult Swim happen right after Clone Wars, they would get me watching TV for two or three hours on end.
UPDATE: It seems as though the Associated Press was given a very advanced sneak peek of the theatrical kickoff to the Clone Wars TV show and they have a lot of good things to say about it. Click here to read it. And we all know how hard it is to please critics these days with Star Wars so this is a promising sign indeed.

I think that the new Clone Wars looks pretty cool. I think that I’ll watch it, but I’d really rather see a series based on events after Jedi

I agree with Six Gun. George! We want something after the original trilogy. Let’s see Han and Leia’s kids. Or maybe Luke goin’ to the dark side.

I dont much like star wars (dont fry your circuits swank) but the last little run of cartoons they did on Adult Swim were actually pretty cool.
