Imdb.com is reporting that apparently Angelina Jolie has been inquiring about the possible role of Catwoman in the third installment of the new Batman franchise. Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in the 1960’s Batman television series was quoted as saying:
“Angelina would own the part. My industry friends tell me (she) has made inquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman’s one true love. She’s tremendously popular with women because she’s both a heroine and a villainess.”
Of course, there’s been no confirmation of who will be in the third installment, or if there there will even be one (okay, we’ve seen what The Dark Knight has made over the last 2 weeks, we all know there will be a third one), but if Director Christopher Nolan decides to resurrect the character, it sounds like Mrs. Jolie-Pitt may be vying for the part if this is true!

Yea, i just need to say that yes, jolie would be an interesting catwoman. though, she has already appeared in so many big movies. I truly don’t think she is good for the part. Nolan should pick a young, beautiful, not so recognizable actress to play the role of catwoman. I’ve been thinking a lot and i would much rather see Shannon Elizabeth as the next catwoman. She’s young, pretty and i can totally see her taking on a role as a pysco. With heath ledger playing such an incredible role as joker, its hard to top it off. Catwoman should be crazy, and devious. Also i thought Elisha Cuthbert would be interesting, as well as megan fox. TAKE MY ADVICE NOLAN!!

But then again, it seems like nobody wants to be loyal to the Catwoman of the comics, so who cares huh?
If it was my choice, maybe Kate Beckinsale, she did a great job with the Underworld series as Selene, I think she would do great as Calwoman.
