The movies were corny, but they weren’t completely terrible. I thought Johnny Storm was well cast and Chiklis is awesome, that guy should play every character. Alba is great as eye candy, but she’s a terrible actress and never made Sue come alive in the same way the comic version does. I could see her being played by a more serious actress, Natalie Portman maybe (nah, that would suck, but I’m on the right track).

Frankly you’re never going to make FF be as edgy and exciting as X-Men. Nothing against FF, I dig them personally, but they just don’t measure to the super action movie style. What it comes down to is that FF is actually a good fit for a Disney-owned Marvel. There’s no need to neuter them, but this is also not a franchise that will benefit from bloodbath action.
