Wet is pretty good if you think of it as playing through a shallow game designed for amazing graphics, weak story element, and engaging gameplay. Overall, I would give it a sold 3.5 out of 5.

I think you just didn't play it the right way. Play with a mouse and keyboard, and DoC turns into a really fun game. Then skip all except the scenes that happen to look cool right away, and it doesn't waste half as much time. It's even fun to play through more than once with this method.
