FACE YOUR DESTINY ON MARCH 9, 2010 – FINAL FANTASY XIII LAUNCHES IN NORTH AMERICA
Multi-Platinum Singer Songwriter Leona Lewis

Offers Brand New Song “My Hands” As Game’s Theme Song

LOS ANGELES (November 13, 2009) – Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of Square Enix® interactive entertainment products in North America announced today the highly anticipated street date for FINAL FANTASY® XIII. This latest project in the multi-platinum FINAL FANTASY series promises to be intensely compelling and will be available for both the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft on March 9, 2010.

I was surprised how quickly I began to hear about FFXIII so shortly after FFXII came out. And not just heard, there was some really cool images and videos out as well, and so I’ve had my hopes up since about 2006. I just didn’t know  how long I’d be waiting. Well it was a long time coming, but we waited, and now it’s here. Everything I’ve seen about FFXIII makes me want to play it as soon as humanly possible, and now my only hope is that it doesn’t disappoint.

(I believe I heard at some point that Final Fantasy XIII Versus was supposed to come out the same day as the main game, but I can’t find any evidence of the reality of this fact. So there might be another wait ahead?)

You can pre-order your copy of FFXIII on Amazon.com by clicking this link!

I have never played a FF game. Hell, I don’t think I’ve even ever SEEN one played.

Well I think I’m a much different type of gamer. I don’t even necessarily pick up a controller once a month, and I never play online multi-player anything. I am a solo gamer. This is the type of game that you play for 80 hours during alone time. The fun comes from strategy, and just watching a huge story unfold. I’ve never really got into many games that aren’t RPG’s, so you other robots with your “Halo” fetishes are equally as elusive to me.
Yes, it’s Halo that I don’t get. Although I have seen it played.

I have played all the FF games, all the way back to the original 3 on NES. My favorite being FFX (the aeons were amazing!) I cant wait for FFXIII,as Im sure the esteemed Square Enix has another gem for us, and from what I’ve seen It will be as epic as any of the previous titles. I just hope for many awesome aeons and the pre-requisite “Ultima” magic attack. Throwing in a cactuar or a few chocobos wouldnt hurt either. In short, it will be amazing, as they all have been; and anything less than that would be shocking.

I’ve played all the FF games as well, all the way back to the original three on the NES. And I think most of the games have been pretty awesome, but that doesn’t make it so I’m going into this unreleased title with clouded eyes.

I think that I like the FF games very objectively, and I’ve enjoyed them to date, because for the most part, they have been really good. But not flawless (I think my favorite is FFVI, and my least favorite is FFXI)

I’ve heard that this game had a recall already because it wasn’t up to par. So I wouldn’t be shocked if it wasn’t my favorite. And frankly I’m a little skeptical with the direction they went in with FFXII. Because while I thought the game was fun, I thought it might be a little too vast, and some of the side stuff a little too tedious. What they did with CG movies, while of the highest caliber were far from the pinnacle.

And I hate to bring up Advent children, but that movie with all its hype, turned out to suck, and it was because of the story. (And flying people.)
