New York Entertainment Magazine met up with Bill Murray at the premiere of the Fantastic Mr. Fox. Bill Murray provides his voice for Clive Badget, Mr. Fox’s lawyer and adviser. While talking with Murray about his role in the movie, some Ghostbusters 3 questions came up:

I heard you weren’t happy with plans for Ghostbusters 3.
I haven’t seen the script, so it’s not a matter of being happy or not.

Do you want to do the movie?
I don’t know. It’s all about the script. If the script’s not good, I’m not going to get excited. They’ve been talking about it for a long time. So, you know, I don’t get all excited about it, you know.

Dan Aykroyd told me it’s going to be two guys and two girls.
That sounds like a weekend, but I don’t know if it’s a movie.

What age do you think the new Ghostbusters should be?
Oh, I don’t know. I don’t know what they’re talking about. It’s just talk. No one’s sent me a script. I haven’t seen anything. [Dan Aykroyd] is more out there. He’s a much more active guy than I am. I’m sluggish.

You don’t want to do it?
I mean, I like those guys. But it’s all about if the stuff is good. The stuff’s got to be great.

Personally, I believe it’d be better for Murray, and all other parties involved to stay away from GB3. With Akroyd’s involvement in the project and also being so actively involved with spiratualism (the occult, which satan uses to deceive others by offering a counterfeit substitute for the power of God), my concern is that this movie could be harmful. Just like a resource which I have provided states, The gospel of Christ cannot coexist with the occult in our lives. Either the occult will drive out faithfulness to Christ, leading to eternal condemnation, or else the gospel will drive out the occult, leading to salvation. GB1 and 2 were comedies and while 2 did contain some witchcraft in it, it wasn’t portrayed in a positive light. My concern is that this movie might attempt to do that, and being that Jesus Christ is the captain of my life, I cannot stick my head in the sand and pretend that this is all okay. I hope Bill Murray won’t, either. Having been raised Catholic and hopefully knowing what God’s word says about this subject (resource: http://www.gospelway.com/religiousgroups/witchcraft.php), I hope he’ll have the wisdom to stay away if that’s the kind of movie Aykroyd wants to make. If it turns out that this movie is harmless and doesn’t contain the aspects I’m concerned about, that’s fine but if it’s going to be a movie which will deceive others by softening the subject of the occult to portray it in a positive way , I won’t be seeing it.

The link provided as a resource for those who are interested, doesn’t work. Anyone who wishes to know what the Bible says about spiratualism should click here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=What+does+the+bible+say+about+Spiritualist&rlz=1R2TSHB_enUS330&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

So the main reason you think GB3 shouldn’t happen is because it will take away attention from Jesus and give it to Satan.

I think this is an excellent point.

Excellent point indeed. I never realized how much I liked Ghostbusters until it occurred to me that it was all an attack on our savior Jesus Christ.

So… just to make sure I understand this correctly:

You think a movie (a comedy, none-the-less) about “bustin’ ghosts” will drive people away from the bible and into the arms of satan?

Are you being sarcastic Arse-bot? There’s a war going on. It’s the bible or Ghostbusters. Pick a side, Teetotalers will burn in oblivion for eternity!

Satan has nothing to do with Ghostbusters 3, his involvement was with Ghostbusters 1, the most successful I might ad. Anyway after a falling out with Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis Stan refused to do any sequels. Satan really has nothing against Jesus, in fact the two of them would sneak off and smoke dope in the Temple of Zeus which really pissed Zeus off. This whole argument about good vs evil is all subjective. Tennessee I ask you to really research who the true evil is and you will soon realize it is not Satan it is the Grey Aliens and Reptilians that have corrupted the human spirit and are striving for world domination.

I totally agree with Bill Murray that two guys and to girls sounds more like a weekend, not a movie. I’m sure he knows just as much as what “Danny” and Harold has been saying about the movie as we do, and that many are not happy with the idea of a group of young imposters doing all the bustin whilst not being very funny.

Are you forgetting this is a movie about ghosts? I think it would be a huge mistake if they missed this opportunity to cast Heath in what could be his greatest role.

Why are y’all so quick to turn a movie about the supernatural into a debate of God and Satan? Honestly if y’all really looked in the Bible and read the scripture, there are many references to ghosts and deities of then God, Jesus, Satan, and ect. Granted they aren’t everywhere but they are there. With that being said the title “The Father The Son and The Holy GHOST” should have been the first clue. That reference is to the soul, and if you read any books on ghost many believe that a ghost is a soul that has not moved on. Im not trying to put anyone down, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but before people try to attack something with religion they need to be sure that there is strong support for what they say.

Are you trying to tell me that Slimer and God could be playing for the same team?
