Scott Snyder and artist Rafael Albuquerque are teaming up to profit from this vampire craze that has struck 13-year old girls and housewives world wide. American Vampire will bring you a new brand of vampire: The American Vampire. This new vampire breed will be “a more muscular and vicious species of vampire with distinctly American characteristics” so we can all expect them to sit around eating deep fried blood and bitching about how the Mexican vampires are taking all the good jobs.

You can expect this new monthly March 2010 starting with a 5-issue arc containing two stories: one told by Snyder, the other told by novelist Stephen King.
