Which member of Batman’s Rogue’s Gallery would you most like to see in the next Batman movie?

Bane - This villain (which was horribly portrayed in the failed abortion of a movie, Batman and Robin) is one of Batman’s most formidable foes. He was the first Bat-villain to come up with a strategy to break the Bat, ultimately leading to Bruce Wayne’s temporary retirement due to a broken back.

Catwoman - Selina Kyle as a love interest and Catwoman as an ambiguous presence in the Gotham landscape has been an interesting source of conflict for Bruce. Reading “The Long Halloween” you realize how well she fits in with the world of mobsters that Goyer and the Nolans have created around this iteration of Batman and she could be a powerful addition.

The Riddler - The Riddler could be given an appropriate spin in this comic, much like he was treated in “Hush” to make him the most diabolical of super-villains. He would also allow Christian Bale to flex Batman’s muscles as a detective instead of just a guy who punches other guys.

The Penguin - The Penguin is a mob boss. It could be very interesting to see where the Nolans could take a mob boss who’s also a super-villain with their ideas of “escalation” that Jim Gordon explains in the closing monologue of Batman Begins.

Hush/Tommy Elliot - I will be the first to admit that Hush is overused in the comics, but he could be utilized wonderfully in the Nolan Bat Universe. Here you have an old childhood friend of Bruce’s (much like Rachel) who’s also a rich kid (unlike Rachel) who comes back into his personal life after Bruce suffers a life-threatening injury that only Tommy Elliot can fix. Little does he know that Tommy Elliot is the new mask in town intent on taking down Batman. This would work very well in the universe Nolan has created. They just need to stop using him in the comics.

Black Mask - Again, we have another masked super-villain for a mob boss. Black Mask would actually, in my opinion, be much more interesting than the Penguin since he’s as ruthless as Carmine Falcone but is also almost as insane as the Joker. And who could forget how he almost tortured Stephanie Brown to death? This would be fantastic.

Lady Shiva - Lady Shiva is the head assassin in the League of Shadows and adding her into the mix while bringing Liam Neeson’s Ra’s Al Ghul back from the dead with a Lazarus Pit would be a great showstopper for the third film in the trilogy.

Mr. Freeze - Another villain from a Schumacher abortion that could be done right. Look no further than the animated Batman movie Sub-Zero to see that he can be done with heart and relevance. It would also be really interesting to see him in the same vein that Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka protrayed him in Gotham Central. Widen the role of the police force in the third film and make it a competition between them and Bats to see who can get him first.

Zeiss - Zeiss is one of the coolest additions to the Batman’s Rogue’s Gallery in recent years. He’s got what are essentially camera lenses for eyes and can see and perceive 24 frames per second making it virtually impossible to fight him in hand to hand combat. He’s an assasin and works for mobsters, again making him an ideal fit in the Nolan Batman universe.
