‘TMNT’ Renewed, Seth Green Joins Cast

Nickelodeon’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is about to wrap their second season and has already been renewed for a fourth. Season three will air this fall, with season four slated for fall of 2015. President of content development at Nickelodeon, Russell Hicks, stated the following, indicating that the TMNT aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

“The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been a global hit, maintaining impressive numbers across the network’s ratings and our digital and consumer products platforms.”

With the August release of the live action TMNT flick, the subsequent documentary “Turtle Power: The Definitive History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” and IDW’s current (and fantastic!) comics run, there is a franchise for every type of fan, it’s never been a better time to be a Turtle’s fan.

In addition to the announcement of a fourth season for the teenage hero ensemble, it was also announced that Seth Green will join the voice cast as Leonardo, replacing Jason Biggs. Green will join Sean Astin (Raphael), Greg Cipes (Michelangelo), and Rob Paulsen (Donatello), rounding out the team.

With Green’s considerable voice acting experience and geek cred, it seems he’s a perfect fit to join the team.  Additional cast members include  Mae Whitman (April O’Neil), Hoon Lee (Master Splinter), Kevin Michael Richardson (Shredder), and Josh Peck (Casey Jones). Season three will also see the return of  Corey Feldman to the Turtle-verse as Slash.
